Cambridge Junior College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award certificates, diplomas and associate degrees.  The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.

 Cambridge Junior College is a private institution that it is approved to operate by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education.  Approval to operate in the State of California is based on provisions of the California Private Postsecondary Education Act (CPPEA) 0f 2009, which is effective January 1, 2010.
